The invention relates to a gas heating boiler with an atmospheric burner. Such gas heating boilers are used in the sector of domestic and residential heating. Starting from the object of reducing the production outlay and of making it largely unnecessary to arrange end walls, not participating in the heat transmission, as co-envelopes for the combustion shaft, especially in the region of the heat exchanger or of the heating-gas flues, the gas heating boiler is designed in such a way that the heat exchanger (1) is designed as a block (4) which forms the entire boiler top part and which has vertical gas flue channels (2) and horizontal water throughflow channels opening into distributor chambers, and the said block (4) is arranged on the boiler bottom part (6) designed to carry water at least in two of its opposite side flanks (5). <IMAGE>
