<p>The bearing supports a component travelling along a straight path, and comprises a body with two parallel flat races and two end curved portions together forming a closed track for cylindrical rollers. Holding strips engaging in peripheral grooves in the rollers prevent them from falling out from the straight races, while side plates acting against the flat roller end faces hold them parallel to each other. The side plates (8) are separate thin components, partic. of sheet metal, with hollow bosses (10) stamped in them by which they fit in transverse drillings (11) in the body. At the curved portions (4) they have shaped edges fitting over the rollers (5) at their ends to hold them in place. At the joins between the flat races (2,3) and the curved portions there are bolts (15) parallel to the rollers and on the side of the latter furthest from the races, engaging in apertures (14) in the plates and with flanges (16) fitting over the latter. The holding strips (7) are secured to these bolts.</p> |
