PURPOSE:In a thermally driven refrigerator using the solar heat as the heat source, to perform the starting reliably and smoothly by temporarily heating the expansion engine at the starting thereby minimizing the heat loss at the start. CONSTITUTION:Upon the operation of a liquid pump 9, the liquid refrigerant is fed to a gas generator 10 and gasified then fed to an expansion engine 8 to start it. Since an open/close valve 23 is temporarily opened, the groove 14... in a rotor 13 is conducted through the pipes 20, 22 to the low pressure side thereby each vane 15 will enter into the groove 14. Consequently the tip of the vane 15 is departed from the inner circumferential face of the cylinder 12 and the gaseous refrigerant flowed through an inlet 16 into the cylinder 12 will pass through the cylinder 12 to heat it then exhausted through an exit 17. Thereafter the valve 23 is closed while the valve 24 is opened to start the expansion engine 8. |
