PURPOSE:To upgrade transient responsibility by changing control gains of feedback system in proportion to the change speed of operating requirements of engine in an air fuel ratio feedback control system based on the compound intensity of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A signal of an exhaust air sensor 5 and a deviation signal with a specified reference value are output from a deviation detecting circuit 6. A proportional signal in proportion to the deviation signal is output from a proportional circuit 7 while an integral signal which integrates the deviation signal is output from an integral circuit 8. Control gains during normal operation are computed from an air intake pressure signal S1 and a rotary signal S2 in a control constant setting circuit 15. A correction signal S4 is added to the circuit 15, and the control gains then are computed. Control signals S5 and S6 which aim at shifting the constants of the respective circuits 7 and 8 so as to conform to the control gains, are transmitted to the circuits 7 and 8 respectively. The addition 9 of the output of the circuits 7 and 8 then generates an air fuel ratio correction signal. The air fuel ratio correction signal controls a fuel metering unit 2 through a fuel supply operation circuit 10. |
