PURPOSE:To enhance adhesion of a photographic gelatin composition, by providing a subbing layer containing a compound having ethylene imino groups, a compound having epoxy rings, and gelatin on the surface of a polyester film subjected to corona discharge treatment. CONSTITUTION:A composition for forming a subbing layer contains (A) a compound having >=2 ethylene imino groups, (B) a compound having >=2 epoxy rings, such as polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether dissolved or dispersed in water and/ or alcohol in 1:(0.1-5) weight ratio, and (C) gelatin added to said liquid. Said composition is coated on a polyester film treated by corona discharge on at least one side of this so as to give 0.2-200mg/m<2> compounds (A) and (B) and <=500mg/m<2> gelatin (C), and the coated film is dried, thus permitting the photographic polyester film obtained to be freed of unevenness of the surface, deficiency of adhesion of a photosensitive material, etc.. |
