<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the paper feed path to make the device small-size, by incorporating a detecting means, which detects the state of the feed of the last paper, in a cassette to detect the paper end in the stage of the feed of the last paper. CONSTITUTION:A roller which is rotated together with a paper feed roller only when the last paper 6 is fed and a rotary sensor 8 which detects the rotation state of the roller 7 are provided in the part of a tray 3 in a cassette 2. By this constitution, when there are plural pieces of paper in the cassette 2, the roller 7 is not rotated by slippage between plural pieces of paper. Consequently, the output of the rotary sensor 8 is held in the high or low level; however, when the last paper 6 is fed, the roller 7 is rotated together with the paper feed roller, and a pulse signal is generated from the rotary sensor 8 to detect the state of the feed of the last paper 6. Thus, the paper feed path is shortened to make the device small-size.</p> |
