PURPOSE:To obtain an anion exchange material having novel crosslinked structure, by polymerizing a monomer mixture composed mainly of an aromatic compound having a halogen-substituted alkyl group and an unsaturated bond and a pyridine derivative having an unsaturated bond. CONSTITUTION:The objective anion exchange material can be prepared by the thermal polymerization of a composition composed of (I) a monomer mixture containing (A) an aromatic compound having a halogen-substituted alkyl group and an unsaturated bond (e.g. chloromethylstyrene) and (B) a pyridine derivative having an unsaturated bond (e.g. 2-vinylpyridine) as main components and optionally (II) a vinyl monomer (e.g. styrene), a component foreign to the copolymerization (e.g. phthalic acid ester), a plasticizer (e.g. dioctyl phthalate), fine powder of thermoplastic polymer (e.g. natural rubber), a substrate (e.g. glass fiber) and/ or a polymerization catalyst (e.g. benzoyl peroxide), etc. |
