<p>PURPOSE:To improve the stability and reliability of a liquid crystal cell by overcoating the inside surfaces of liquid crystal cell electrode plates with polyimide type high polymer films which are the condensate of polycarboxylic acid anhydride and specific polyimide. CONSTITUTION:In a liquid crystal display cell of which the inside surfaces of at least one electrode plate are overcoated with an org. high polymer film, said org. high polymer film is formed of a polyimide type high polymer which is the condensate of polycarboxylic acid anhydride and an org. silicone compound having primary amine and hydrolyzable group in one molecule. The polycarboxylic acid anhydride used is a compound having an aromatic ring which is attached with >=1 groups of carboxylic acid anhydride, for which pyromellitic acid anhydride; 2, 3, 6, 7-naphthalene tetracarboxylic acid, etc. are enumerated. The org. silicon compound is gamma-aminopropyl triethoxysilane; N-P (aminoethyl)gamma-aminopropyl trimethoxysilane, etc.</p> |
