A fish pen of polygonal suitably hexagonal, form is constructed from a number of flotation units (1) bolted together end to end into a frame. Each unit is of D-section with a glass reinforced plastics skin and a plastics foam filling, the flat part providing a deck (2). Sandwiched between the unit ends are plates (5) carrying stanchions (4) from which a net (6) is suspended within the frame. Guard rails (3) join the stanchions, and the coupling of the units may be made resilient by interposed washers (18). <IMAGE> |
