PURPOSE:To hold the next original in the waiting state to transmit plural originals efficienctly, by rotating a feed roller in a prescribed quantity on a basis of the control of a feed roller control part when the preceding original is detected. CONSTITUTION:When a next original 9 is inserted to an original insertion inlet 2 in course of transmission and read of the current original 9, the next original 9 is detected by a sensor 16 of the insertion part. Then, a feed roller 4 is driven, and the next original 9 is caught in this feed roller 4 and is held in the waiting state. At this time, transmission and read of the current original 9 are continued; and when the trailing edge of this original 9 passes through an original read position PR, a sensor 17 of the reading part is turned off, and the feed roller 4 is driven again to carry the next original 9. When this next original reaches the read position PR, it is detected by the sensor 17 of the reading part to stop the feed roller 4. This operation is repeated; and when the sensor 17 of the reading part is turned off at last, all of the feed roller 4 and carrying rollers 12-15 are stopped. |
