PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture of a timepiece dial having fine letters, by applying an original plate onto a photosensitive layer formed on a transparent base, forming a negative plate of fine letters, and providing a printing ink layer of a specified color on the reverse side of the base. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer 2 of a silver salt or a photosensitive resin, or the like is formed on a transparent base sheet 1 of a polyester resin, or the like, an original plate 3 with fine letters formed on it is applied onto the layer 2, and photograpically printed. A negative plate 5 having white letters on the parts 4 corresponding to the fine letters is formed by developing the printed layers 2. A printing ink layer 7 of a specified color is formed on the parts corresponding the parts 4 of the fine letters on the reverse side of the sheet 1 havig the negative image 5, thus permitting a dial for a digital wrist watch to be made in a short time without requiring high techniques for according fine letter prints made by conventional techniques using an intaglio printing plate made of elastic material exactly with solid prints on the background. |
