PURPOSE:To measure wheel diameters with high accuracy by determining the diameter of an arbitrary other wheel from the number of traveling pulses obtd. from a wheel given beforehand with a wheel diameter and the wheel diameter. CONSTITUTION:The pulses from a speed generator 3 of a wheel A given beforehand with a wheel diameter are counted with a pulse counter 1, whereby the number of traveling pulses is obtained. On the other hand, pulses are counted from a speed generator 11 of a wheel B which is not given any wheel diameter are counted with a pulse counter 10, whereby the number of traveling pulses is obtained. The number of traveling pulses per unit time of the wheel A is multiplied by the wheel diameter of the wheel A from a wheel diameter setter 2, with a multiplier 8. The result of said multiplication is removed by the number of traveling pulses per unit time of the wheel B inputted from a subtractor 12 with a divider 15, whereby the wheel diameter of the wheel B is determined. |
