PURPOSE:To obtain a printing device of high printing quality and low noise level, by using such a structure that a platen section is held on a supporting base with an idle space, and then, the platen section is pressed against the supporting base by an elastic member to remove the idle space. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a platen 5 is fixed onto a holder 10 which has curved surface on the reverse side. Pins 11 and 11' which are projectively provided on the holder 10 are fit with idle spaces into large-diameter holes 13 and 13', respectively, which are provided on a base 12, and further, the platen 5 is engaged with come-off stoppers 14 and 14' of the base 12. As the platen 5 is held on the base 5 with an idle space, when a printing head 3 is pressed against the platen 5 through a recording paper 3, the holder 10 rotates following movement of the head 3, so that surfaces of the head 3 and the platen 5 contact each other completely. The pins 11 and 11' are engaged with tension springs 15 and 15' on one ends, and the pins are pressed in the direction of printing by these springs, and therefore, the idle space between the pin 11 and the hole 13 and that between the pin 11' and the hole 13' are removed, so the contacting noise is eliminated. |
