PURPOSE:To obtain a system which eliminates the need for an AD converter, etc., and manages with digital systems which are all one-bit units and with small memory capacity, by converting an analog signal into a digital signal by binary coding after frequency modulation and recording the digital signal. CONSTITUTION:An analog signal is processed by frequency modulation and then by binary coding to obtain a digital signal, which is recorded. During reproduction, the digital signal is demodulated through an FM demodulator and a low- pass filter to obtain an analog signal. For example, a television video signal supplied from an input terminal 11 is supplied through an LPF12 to an FM modulator 14, and its FM-modulated video signal is supplied through an LPF15 to a binary coding circuit 16 to obtain an one-bit digital signal, which is recorded in an IC memory 17. During reproduction, a video signal for reproduction synchronization is supplied to an input terminal 22 and the IC memory 17 is read by a clock signal for reproduction generated by a PLL27. |
