<p>WATER TREATMENT Potentially scale forming corrosive water systems are treated with threshold amounts of cyclic dimer of 1-hydroxyethan-1, 1-diphosphonic acid or its homologs. Dimer comprises a single 6 membered ring including 2 C-O-P bonds and is particularly effective in conjunction with other threshold agents, anti-corrosive agents, threshold synergist, polyelectrolytes and dispersants, and for treating water systems containing strong oxidising agents such as chromate.</p> |
