PURPOSE:To obtain the ink-jet recording device enabling efficient and rapid heating and drying and giving an excellent recorded picture by providing a heating-drying device using far-infrared rays. CONSTITUTION:A far-infrared heater 1 having a wavelength of 4-400mu in the main is fitted, for instance to a plane-operation-type ink-jet recording device. This recording device is constituted by an ink-jet head 3, a piezoelectric board 4, a vibration board 5, an electric-signal processing unit 6, an ink tank 7, ink 8, a recoding paper sheet 9, a paper roll 10, etc. In addition, at the back of the heater 1 a parallel-type reflection board 2 is mounted so as for the far-infrared rays not to strike at the part other than the recording paper sheet 9, such as, for instance, the part of the head 3 and the parts of the circuit and mechanism, whereby the infrared rays are concentrated on the recording paper sheet 9. After ink-jet recording is performed by using the device thus constituted, drying is made by the aforesaid far-infrared heater 1. |
