PURPOSE:To obtain at low cost a heat-shrinkable sleeve whose joint of lapping part is made firm by a metal clamp, by shaping the swelled part having no restoration property by heating the both edges of the heat-shirnkable sheet. CONSTITUTION:Swelled parts 2, 2 which is a part of a sleeve and is shrunk beforehand, so has not restoration property is provided at the both edges of the heat-shrinkable sheet. After this sleeve body 1 is wound around the cylindrical object 11 and the lapping parts of the both edges are clamped by the lengthwise continuing metal clamp 4, it is shrink treated. Because the constricted parts 3, 3 clamped by the metal clamp 4 has restoration property, it tends to recover its original thickness of the sheet. From this, it becomes as if the feet parts of the metal clamp embrace the constricted part 3, so the very firm joint is obtained. |
