PROTECTOR TUBE FOR HIGH VOLTAGE SUSPENSION INSULATORS OF AN ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR An improved protector tube for high voltage suspension insulators of an electrostatic precipitator is disclosed. The tube is convex with respect to the supporting rod passing through its center and preferably the surface of the tube is a rectangular hyperbola of the formula x2 - y2 = z2 where x is the largest radius of the tube, z is the smallest radius of the tube, and y is one half the length of the tube.
