PURPOSE:To enable normal molding operation in spite of the dimensional error of the metal insert, by providing the mold with the mold protecting device composed of the slide core, the spring etc. CONSTITUTION:A slide core 12 is slipped in and fitted into a male mold 11 and an actuating spring 13 acts as the compression spring between the flange 12b of the slide core and the tip part 14c of a bush 14. When clamping the molds, the metal insert engaging part 12a makes the metal insert to contact the metal insert tip engaging part 3a of the female mold 3. Even if the dimension from the tip part 2a to the bottom part 2b of the metal insert 2 is large, molding is enabled by holding pressure contact and moving the engaging part 12a to the attaching plate 23 side. The dimensional accuracy between the step part 1a of the resin member and the tip part 2a of the metal insert 2 can be maintained and the damage of the mold does not occur. |
