PURPOSE:To obtain a light weight and easily manufacturable cam by integrally bonding a cam body and a shaft body with the aid of a resin layer formed on the periphery of the shaft body made of a metal. CONSTITUTION:Cam bodies 2 and 3 made of a sintered alloy are covered on a metal hollow shaft 1 the periphery of which is provided with a resin layer 3 throughout its whole length, together with a cam gear made of a resin. Thus, the hollow shaft 1 and the cam body 3 are integrally bonded with the aid of the resin layer 3, and also the resin layer 3 and the cam gear 4 are integrally formed after being set in the cavity of molds in which the hollow shaft 1 covered with the cam body 2 is previously set. Also, to strengthen the adhesion between the hollow shaft 1 and the resin layer 3 and also to secure the turning block of them, a groove 15 and knurling 16 are provided to the partial portion of the periphery of the hollow shaft 1. |
