PURPOSE:To evade frequent starting and stopping of a refrigerating machine that utilizes the atmosphere as a heat source to supply hot water, by running the refrigerating machine in the case the atmospheric temperature is not less than a prescribed temperature, and after a prescribed period if water temperature at the inlet side of a use side heat exchanger has falled below a prescribed temperature. CONSTITUTION:A hot water supplier comprises a heat pump 2 having a heat source side heat exchanger 2c and the use side heat exchanger 2f and a hot water reservoir 1 that is connected via pipings 3, 4 with said use side heat changer 2f. It is provided with a temperature detector 7 that detects that the water temperature of the outlet side of the heat exchanger 2f has dropped to a prescribed temperature T1 to issue a command for operating the heat pump 2, and a temperature detector 8 which detects that the temperature at the inlet side of the heat exchanger 2f has dropped to a prescribed temperature T2(<T1) to issue a command for operating the heat pump 2. It is further provided with a temperature detector 8 that starts the operation of the heat pump 2 with the proviso that a command for operating the heat pump 2 has been issued from the temperature detectors 7, 8 and a delay apparatus (not shown) when the atmospheric temperature is not less than a prescribed temperature. |
