PURPOSE:To make easy the cargo work of heavy freight or the like on a cargo transport ship of which loading and unloading are done on its stern and improve the safety of the cargo work, by arranging an overhanging member on the rear the stern and a device keeping a difference in step between the ship and a wharf constnt on the member. CONSTITUTION:An overhanging member 2 is arranged on the stern portion of a transport ship 10, and a means 12 preventing the occurence of a difference in step is arranged on the overhanging member 2. The means 12 preventing the occurrence of a difference in step is constituted of hydraulic cylinders 1, a hydralic unit 14 and a piping 15, and at the time of cargo work, piston rods are lengthened by supplying the hydraulic cylinders 1 with pressed oil, and fitting plates 4 are made to come in contact with the surface of the floor of a wharf 11. Thereby, the sinking of the transport ship at the time of the cargo work is prevented, and the cargo work through a ramp way 3 can be done easily and safely. |
