PURPOSE:To improve the solubility of a naphthol coupler in a solvent and the dispersion stability by introducing a specified lipophilic group into the coupler. CONSTITUTION:To a color photographic silver halide material is added a cyan coupler represented by the general formula (where R is a 13-20 C straight chain aliphatic hydrocarbon residue, and A is a naphthol-contg. cyan coupler residue coupling with the oxidation product of a color developing agent). The cyan coupler is characterized by a long chain alkoxypropylamino group contained as a lipophilic group. The cyan coupler residue may be substituted, and the substituent includes a group which is split off during color development, an azo compound residue and a development inhibitor residue.
