<p>PURPOSE:To prevent variation of diameter of finished material and misrolling by storing an optimum speed ratio between stands obtained from actual rolling and making speed setting of each stand automatically in accordance with the stored speed ratio. CONSTITUTION:The speed ratio is stored in a speed ratio storage device 9 by output of hot ingot detectors 5, 6 for a rolling mill of (n) stands. A speed setting arithmetic device 10 makes speed setting operation of stored speed ratio of respective state by output of heat detectors 5, 6, and operates the speed setting value of upper stream side or downstream side from the reference stand using the speed ratio stored in the storage device 9, and outputs to a control device 4. In this way, setting of optimum speed is made automatically, and misrolling is prevented.</p> |
