PURPOSE:To maintain a toner in a uniform thin film, by using a ferrimagnetic material as a donor. CONSTITUTION:A donor 6 consisting of a ferrimagnetic thin film is magnetized, and heated sporadically to or above a Curie point by irradiation of laser beams to form a zigzag magnetized region. A magnetic toner is maintained in a thin uniform layer, and charged uniformly with multistylus electrodes 4. Voltage is applied to the electrodes 4 in accordance with a pattern signal to form an electrostatic image. A sheet of paper S is placed on this image, the toner image T is transferred onto the paper S with a transfer roller 8 to obtain a final image. |
