<p>A plastic bottle (10) with an attachable handle (12) for lifting, carrying and pouring. The handle (12) generally is L-shaped. One leg (26) of the handle coacts with an is affixed to the neck (14) of the bottle (10) and the other leg (28) coacts with the sidewall of the bottle. When the handle (12) is attached, the one leg (26) generally is horizontal and can be snapped on or otherwise affixed to the neck (14) of the bottle (10), and the other leg (28) generally is vertical and can be in engagement with or attached to the side wall of the bottle (10) by interlocking, welding, bonding, adhesive, banding or other means. Also, when attached, the handle (12) is positioned substantially within the breadth of the bottle (10). In forming the bottle (10) and handle (12) of the present invention, means can be provided for properly aligning the handle (12) and bottle (10) to facilitate coaction and attachment therebetween. In a preferred embodiment the present invention provides a large biaxially oriented pressurized bottle (10) with a lifting, carrying and pouring attachable handle (12) without impairing the desired shape and properties of the bottle (10).</p> |
