PURPOSE:To exactly turn both upper and lower rolls at the same speed at all times by providing pairs of inlet rolls and outlet rolls revolving at the same speed through a chain and a sprocket to the entrance and outlet port of a vulcanizer vessel. CONSTITUTION:In the entrance side end portion of a vulcanizer vessel 1, pairs of upper and lower rolls 3 and 4 are provided, sprockets 31 and 41 are provided coaxially to the shafts 30 and 40 of the rolls 3 and 4, a drive motor 7 and a coaxial tension sprocket 8 are provided below the sprockets 31 and 41, and a chain 5 is mounted across these sprockets 31, 41, and 8. And a certain tension is applied to the chain 5 by expanding or shrinking the shaft 80 on which the sprocket 8 is supported. Thus, in spite of a variation in the distance between the upper and lower rolls, both rolls can be turned at the same speed at all times and therefore, the rubber sheet can be uniformly vulcanized. |
