Clamp for tensile testing of threaded specimens - has two=part holder body for rapid simplified handling

A clamp for tensile testing of threaded specimens is developed for simplified handling and reduced time. The holderbodyis made in two parts and consists of a coupling part which can be connected to the test machine and a clamp part mounted on it and able to slide in the drawing direction. The clamp part (2) contains a drilled hole (10) which accepts the segments of the clamp bush. The segments are mounted under spring loading on the coupling part so as to be able to slide perpendicular to the drawing direction. The clamp part (2) is mounted on the coupling part by means of a thread. It has a radially outwardly projecting rapid clamp lever (11) acting peripherally.
