<p>The hinging door leaf for motor vehicles is moved inwards by swing arms actuated by a rotary column, and has a movable sealing strip at the bottom. The strip works in vertical guides in the door leaf and a spiral ramp is fixed to the hinge joint of the bottom swing arm. Relative movement between arm and leaf lifts the strip on opening. The hinge joint can be a ball-joint, with a spiral ramp on the outside of its housing, engaging via a guide block with the sealing strip. The strip can be arranged to move up and down in a groove in the block on opening and shutting respectively.</p> |
