A liquid container has at least one pair of two opposite metal plates arranged vertically in the container, so that the capacity formed between the two plates has a defined relationship with the quantity of liquid in the container. The quantity of liquid can therefore be determined by measuring the capacity. The first of the two metal plates is configured and arranged such that it serves as a baffle plate. In order to maintain a predetermined horizontal distance between the two plates, the second metal plate is connected at a plurality of points by interposing a plurality of insulating spacers. These spacers have a thickness corresponding the predetermined spacing between the two plates. The first plate is connected to the hollow body of the liquid container, while the second is spaced therefrom on all sides. |
