This miniature dictation instrument is reduced to the size of a cheque form by placing the heads, microphone and l.e.d. indicator along one short side, and the battery compartment along the opposite side with loudspeaker, motor and amplifier in the middle. The record/play head (6) and erase head (7) with microphone (9) and l.e.d. indicator (8) are arranged along the upper short side in a prismatic case (1). The batteries are housed in the opposite section (15), with loudspeaker (13), motor (10) and amplifier (12) arranged in the middle.
