The sailboard hull is conventional in having footloops, releasable by overloading, fitted on its deck. For each loop-strap (19) two bushes (13) open at the top are let into the hull (10). Each bush houses an elastic element (14) compressible by a through-bolt and nut (15-18), and accommodates one strap end between its sidewall and that element, releasable by pulling. The bolt-head (17) dia. is approx. two strap-thicknesses less than the bush bore. Load transfer from bush to hull is to the part (12) inside the outer shell (11). Loops may have soft protective sleeves; are pref. arranged with strap-end convex sides facing.
|
