PURPOSE:The titled composition useful as a covering material for electric wire, etc., having improved tensile strength and elongation at break, obtained by blending a polyolefin type resin highly filled with an inorganic material with an alkylphenolic resin. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt Polyolefin type resin is blended with (B) 30- 500pts.wt inorganic compound powder having an average particle diameter of 0.01-3mu, especially aluminum hydroxide having water of crystallization and a kick-off temperatue of 150-450 deg.C in the case of requirement of flame retardance, and (C) 0.1-50pts.wt., preferably 1-20pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. inorganic compound of alkyl phenolic resin, preferably highly methylolated alkyl phenolic resin having a melting point of preferably 60-150 deg.C. |
