PURPOSE:To prevent the increase in viscosity and to prevent blocking by generating negative pressure immediately after the capping in association with the capping operation, and maintaining the continued state of the ink in the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:When an operating button 6 is depressed downward, a cap lever 5 is also depressed downward, an inclined surface 5a is slidden down from an inclined surface 2a of a cap holder, and a cap 3 is intimately coupled with the nozzle 1. At the same time, a piston 12 is lowered, the negative pressure is generated in a sucking pump 7 from the time the capping has been performed. The negative pressure is generated in a cavity part 3a of the cap 3 through a tube 4, and the ink at the tip of the nozzle is sucked. When the operating button 6 is further depressed and the cap lever 5 is sufficiently depressed, a rocking part 9b of a substrate 9 is engaged with a knob 5c of the cap lever 5, and the nozzle tip is rocked under the hermetically sealed state. |
