PURPOSE:A spinning ring where the ring is finished by blacking and grinding to make the surfaces smooth and increase the parallelism, roundness and concentricity, thus making the running-in smooth and reducing yarn brak. CONSTITUTION:Free-machining steel, nitride steel or bearing steel is used as a material for a spinning ring and lathed into a desired shape, heat treated, surface treated. The resultant ring 1 is treated with alkali in the whole part and blackened. Then, the parts (a) from the top of inner surface 8 of the flange top to the inner surface 4 of the neck and of the outer surface from the outside of the flange top 5 to the collar 6 except the top surface 2 of the ring flange and the bottom surface 10 are left blackened and at least the top surface of the ring flange 2, the inner surface of the trunk 8 and fitting part 9 are ground to the level of surface roughness of 2-5 microns. |
