PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjusting of the ink jet head on a carriage, by a method wherein a lower carriage is caused to maintain a stretching condition of a carriage stretching wire, and with this an upper carriage can be removed to the outside. CONSTITUTION:Printing members 11, piping members 12, sliding rollers 13 are mounted in an upper carriage 10, and only the upper carriage 10 can be removed to the outside by removing screws 33. A carriage driving wire 21, and pressure rollers 22 are installed in a lower carriage, and the carriage driving wire 21 is located so that it is prevented from being dislocated even if the upper carriage 10 is removed. Thus, in a condition that the carriage driving wire 21 is stretched, the upper carriage 10 can be removed for the adjustment of an ink jet head and its attendant parts, which results in facilitating the work. |
