A vehicle seat 2 is mounted on a supporting frame 1 comprising three transverse parallel torsion-resistant tubular supports consisting of a middle support 4 underneath the centre of gravity of the seat, and front and rear supports 3, 5, the line connecting the axis of the front support 3 to the axis of the rear support 5 forming the base of a downwardly directed obtuse-angled triangle whose apex is defined by the axis of the middle support 4, the rear being secured by a triangular plate 7 partially embracing the supports 3-5 and secured thereto by screw clamps 8, 9.
