PURPOSE:To assure the ink jetting positively in a simple system and to make it possible to perform high speed recording by arranging an ink absorbing body on a cap on the side facing a jetting hole of a head, and recovering the ink. CONSTITUTION:A porous body 302 such as felt is provided on a cap main body 301 which is capped to the head. A protruded part 302T comprising the same material is provided at a part of said porous body 302. The ink absorbed in the porous body 302 is moved in the porous body by a capillary force and collected at the protruded part 302T. Then the ink is recovered to a tank 305 through a pipe 303 wherein a porous body 304 is packed and which is connected to the protruded part 302T by the capillary force. |
