PURPOSE:To improve a quality of a product and productivity, by a method wherein, in the manufacture of the substrate for an ink ribbon made of a fabric in which very fine threads are woven in a high density, warp whereon an interlacing and a sizing are conducted, is used. CONSTITUTION:A normal ink ribbon substrate is formed such that synthetic fiber multifilament which has a single yarn of 1.2 denier or less and a total denier of 40 denier or less, is used as warp, and a fabric, in which the warp and the weft total to 280 pieces or more per inch, is slit in a tape. The warp used for said purpose is processed such that an interlace processing is applied to form 35-70 interlacing per 1m of a single thread, and a sufficient weavability is created through adhesion of about 3-7wt% starch. This prevents buzzing and breaking of a thread at a weaving time and forms a fabric of high quality at an improved productivity to form an ink ribbon substrate. |
