PURPOSE:To efficiently manufacture fine and uniform goethite crystals by agitating an aqueous ferrous sulfate soln. contg. goethite seed crystals with a rotator and by blowing oxygen to conduct vapor-liq. contact. CONSTITUTION:Converter OG dust is thermally decomposed with a sulfuric acid soln. to crystallize ferrous sulfate, and this sulfate is separated and dissolved to prepare a ferrous sulfate soln. this soln. is introuduced into a vessel 21 from an inflow pipe 30 as a starting material, and goethite seed crystals are added. By rotating a rotary substrate 22 having many agitators 23 with a geared motor 26, the soln. is agitated, and oxygen or a gas contg. oxygen is blown from a gas inflow pipe 24 to conduct vapor-liq. contact. By rotating the substrate 22 at high speed, a circulating flow is produced in the vessel 21, and the blown gas is uniformly dispersed in the whole soln. Thus, goethite can be manufactured efficiently. |
