PURPOSE:To form the fabric with uniform set of warp, by a method wherein, in the manufacture of an ink ribbon substrate made of a fabric in which very fine threads are woven in a high density, warps having a given sets of reeds distribution is used in the case of weaving. CONSTITUTION:A usual ink ribbon substrate is formed such that synthetic multifilament, which has a single yarn of 1.2 denier or less and a total denier of 40 denier or less, is used as warp and a fabric, in which a total of warp and weft sets for 280 pieces or more, is slit in a tape. A reed 1, used for weaving of said fabric, is formed such that dents 1' have thick density at its center and thin density at both end parts (both sides each ranging about 20cm), and the reed 1 has a slightly larger number of the dents than the number neccessary to the width of the fabric. Thus, the increase in a density of a warp 2a, occurring at both sides of a fabric 2 after weaving, is compensated, and the fabric 2 having an approximately uniform set of warp can be obtained. |
