The fixing between plates in plastics material toys operates with or without locking or clamping. Pins are transversely sprung by two parallel bands, providing to and fro adjustment between two end positions. The spacing between the two end positions limited by the bands corresponds to the height of that end of the pin which in one end position secures a third plate e.g. a container floor against movement. In the other end position, it is sunk into the body formed by the bands e.g. the floor of a box vehicle.
