PURPOSE:To enable to obtain an enough recording density even in case an environmental temperature is low, by a method wherein a heating device is mounted to a back roll which brings a heat-sensitive paper into press contact with a heat-sensitive recording from the rear surface of the paper. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive recorder consisting of a heat-sensitive recording head 1 for generating a heat pulse according to a picture information, and a back roll positioned facing and opposite to the heat-sensitive recording head 1, a core heater for heating the back roll 2 is mounted to the core of the back roll 2, and a temperature control circuit 4 for controlling the temperature of the core heater 5 is installed. The recorder is constituted such that a thermistor 3 detects the temperature of a substrate 1B of the heat-sensitive recording head 1, and a control circuit 4 decides the energizing amount of the core heater 5 for temperature compensation from a relation to the set recording rate. This causes keeping of a printing in a constant density even in case the temperature of the heat-sensitive recording head fluctuates. |
