Solar collector with panel supported by transportable chassis - receiving appts. housing containing sec. cell battery and control circuits

The collector for receiving and storing solar energy uses a number of solar cells arranged beneath a transparent cover plate and converting the received light into an electrical current. The solar panel comprising the cover plate and the solar cells is enclosed by a pivot frame which can be inclined at a required angle to the horizontal. The pivot frame is supported by a transportable chassis into which an appts. housing can be inserted. Pref. the pivot frame is supported at each side by an extensible pivot arm which can be locked to hold the frame and hence the solar collector panel at the best angle for max. reception of the solar radiation. The collector can provide power for lights and auxiliaries.
