<p>An optical type detector comprises a full-wave rectifier circuit (10) to which input power source voltage (Vin) arbitrarily selected is supplied, a switching regulator (24), a detecting section (72) supplied with power from the switching regulator (24) and optically detecting an object to output a detection signal (90), and a relay switch (102) for performing switching operation in response to detection signal (90) and producing a detection output corresponding to detection signal (90). The switching regulator (24) includes a drive section (26) which has two transistors (34, 36) connected in series with each other. When the input power voltage (Vin) is applied, the two transistors (34, 36) divide the power voltage (VIN) into substantially equal two parts.</p> |
