PURPOSE:To obtain a bearing device having a large cooling capacity with a small amount of oil supply and withstanding a great load by supporting the outer ring to a fixed body through an elastic permanent magnet, and installing a heat pipe penetrating through the above magnet to release the friction heat of lubricant at the sliding surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A housing 3 of a nonmagnetic material is fitted to a fixed body 13 and has its both ends closed by annular yokes 1, 5 made of a ferromagnetic material. Within this enclosure a cylindrical elastic permanent magnet 4 is contained. A rotary shaft 12 is supported to the housing 3 through a roller bearing, consisting of rollers 9, an outer ring 8 and an inner ring 10, and the magnet 4 mentioned above. At the both sides of the inner ring 10, cylinders 11, 7, made of either a ferromagnetic material or a permanent magnet, are fitted on the rotary shaft 12 with a small clearance maintained between them and inner periphery of the yokes 1, 5. A heat pipe 6 is installed penetrating through the yokes 1, 5 and the magnet 4. A cooler (s) 14 is fixed to one end or both ends of the pipe 6. |
