<p>Phenol-formaldehyde resin is poured continuously, via a head (13), onto a continuous conveyor belt (10) entering a former (1). The expansion of this resin is carried out, continuously and without constraint, in the space of rectangular cross-section delimited by the conveyor belt (10), the lateral walls (4) of the former (1) and another conveyor belt (11). The expanded foam is thus formed into a strip (27), of specified width and thickness, which comes onto a cutting table (29) where a saw (36, 37) cuts it up, without interruption to its progress, into panels (30) of specified length (L). The expansion may be carried out between two strips of paper (16, 21) unwinding from two rollers (15, 20) and also introduced into the former (1). <IMAGE></p> |
