Al mono-Et phosphite, [HP(O)(OEt)O 3Al, useful as a fungicide, was produced in a continuous process by prepg. a mixt. of phosphite compds. contg. >=70 mol % (EtO)2PH(O), sapon., neutralizing the mix. with an inorg. base (pH 4.5-8.5), and finally reacting the aq. soln. of alkali metal mono-Et phosphite with a stoichiometric amt. of a water-sol. Al salt at 70-95↿ and pH 3.0-4.5.
