PURPOSE:To enable fusing work of a fine quartz tube to be carried out easily, and secure the prevention of any oxidation of the lead bar by making the distance between the lead bar of a main electrode and the lead bar of an auxiliary electrode large, and restricting in a special range, the angle formed by the slanting part of the lead bar of the main electrode and the lead bar of the auxiliary electrode. CONSTITUTION:A lead bar 11 of a main electrode 1 and a lead bar 5 of an auxiliary electrode 4 are fused to a fusing part 8. The lead bar 11 consists of a slanting part 11a, which becomes more distant from the lead bar 5 as it comes near the end of the fusing part 8, and a leading-out part 11b, which extends from the part 11a parallel to the bar 5 and is led outside the fusing part 8. The lead bar 5 of the auxiliary electrode and slanting part 11b of the bar 11 form an angle theta, which is restricted in the range of 15-75 deg.. A curving point B of the lead bar 11 is located near the end of the fusing part 8. Owing to the above constitution, any oxidation of the lead bar can be prevented, and fusing work of a fine quartz tube can be easily carried out. |
