PURPOSE:To perform the diffusion of the electrolyte while utilizing the produced gas, by providing a partitioning board having a vertical wall between an element and a cover while providing a tube lowering vertically to the proximity of the bottom and another tube conducting between the upper and lower portions of the partioning board. CONSTITUTION:A partitioning board 6 having a vertical wall 7 is arranged at the portions contacting with the inner wall face of a battery jar and the outer- circumferential face of a pole 4 between an element 3 and a cover 2, then a tube 8 extending vertically to the proximity of the bottom in the battery, a tube 9 the upper end of which projects above the maximum liquid level while the lower end is inserted into a pan 10 and a tube 11 extending downward to the upper portion of the element 3 and inserted into a cup-shaped tube 12 are provided. The electrolyte 5 at the lower portion of the battery is moved through said tube 8 to the upper portion of said partitioning board 6 by the pressure of the gas produced in the battery, thus to cause the function to move to the lower portion of the partitioning board 6 through said tube 11 thereby the electrolyte can be diffused without requiring a special device. |
